Help us find sponsors for the 2017 eMBAssy Ball

Our Events Director Zoe Morrison has found us an amazing waterside venue and negotiated a great deal, and now we’re looking for corporate sponsors to make it happen!

We need to raise $16 000 by Friday 4 August to be able to offer tickets to students at around $150 per head (there will be limited early bird tickets!).

Would your employer like access to amazing talent at a prestigious event?

Branding rights are also available at various sponsor levels.

Without sponsorship we’re looking at around $250 per ticket so flex those elegant currencies in funding today!

Please contact eMBAssy’s treasurer, Therese Juda –  therese.juda@gmail or 0402116377 – to discuss what we can offer your company.

MBA Consulting Club

Come and join the fastest-growing interest group on the CBD campus. MBA Consulting Club now has 25 members across three universities and four degree programs. Last week we were joined by guest consultant Matt Whiting, partner at the boutique firm Mozaic Management. Matt gave excellent feedback on our consulting skills and role-played some of the difficult client behaviours he has experienced.
We aim to have joint case interview practice sessions with AGSM every two weeks in order to develop skills relevant to management consulting.

Calling all bloggers

Our blog is about showcasing the Sydney MBA, and our student and academic stories. We would love to have additional students on board in 2017. The blog has a large monthly readership, and we regularly share articles across Business School and University social media channels.

What’s involved
The commitment can range from a one-off blog OR regular contributions (2-3 blogs per semester). Topics to cover anything from the Sydney MBA experience (a favourite unit, MBA capstone, experience with the MBA career services, how the MBA is helping achieve career goals and your ‘Future anything’, etc) to topics of relevance; a focus on current trends; or general interest pieces for a business audience.

We are also very happy to work with participants on topic ideas.

Length requirement
Generally 400 – 600 words. Blogs in longer form are also fine depending on the topic.

eMBAssy welcomes C8

eMBAssy welcomed Cohort 8 last Friday 10 March with pizza and drinks on the first evening of LP&D.

The new cohort were understandably exhausted after their first full day of leadership skills from the unit’s new facilitators, Jane Lowther and Michael Cavanagh. They weren’t too tired to enjoy getting to know each and eMBAssy over a couple of slices of pizza and a drink.

Big shout out to Ben Tham (Careers & Corporate Relations Manager, MBA Programs), Zoe Morrison, eMBAssy Director (MBA Experience),  Thommy Arena, eMBAssy Director (Alumni) and campus staff for helping out.
